Final preperations for showcase at Mela 2011

Junior Ministers Bell and Anderson joined by Lord Mayor of Belfast to play the piano

ArtsEkta artist Trisha McNally recently completed a project with young people from Fortwilliam and Macrory Presbyterian Church. Supported by Belfast City Council's Community Safety Partnership, the project focused on re-designing a traditional piano on the theme of diversity and colour. At the end of the 4 week project, the piano was showcased in Culture Land at the Belfast Mela

Richard Higginson, Youth Officer at Fortwilliam and Macrory Presbyterian Church said:

"Thank you for your investment in the young people at Macrory Club through the Piano Project. It looks fantastic! Some of the girls took great pride in showing me how they had contributed to the design. It seems to me to have been a success. Our young people are challenging at the best of times, and I was amazed when I heard you were able to address them all before starting"
