Support for Artistic Development

Placing artists skills in a more structured environment

ArtsEkta recognises the contribution that new artists are bringing to our society. We endevour to provide a platform of support in order to develop and encourage  the indvidual artist to flourish. We are devoted to developing that artistic skills of our artists aswell as project managment skills. We provide a forum for giving artists the oppourtunity to share their ideas and learn from one another. This helps them in turn, to create sustainable projects.

We regularly will create a training needs analysis form to allow artists to identify training they require and then signpost them to existing free or low cost training. We also want ArtsEkta to be recognised as the first point of contact for new artists or at least as one of the resources available which makes the marketing of ArtsEkta an important issue. This will involve:

• Accessing potential artists through employees with a high rate of ethnic workers
• Information sessions at the universities for foreign students
• Ask community groups to ask members who have artistic talents
• Research other ethnic artists who are working with arts organisations
