Legal Status & Governance

ArtsEkta Ltd was constituted as a registered charity (XR 96726) and company limited by guarantee (NI060389) on the 4th August 2006. The organistion operates in accordance with a legally defined memorandum and articles of association.

The day to day operation of ArtsEkta is managed by an employed director who reports to the board of directors quarterly. Within the reporting structure exists sub-committees for finance/fundraising, festivals and governance who meet monthly. ArtsEkta’s director is currently in receipt in independent offline supervision.

ArtsEkta operates with a core set of policies that include child protection policy, equal opportunities policy, artistic policy, volunteer’s policy, health & safety policy, financial policy, communications & information policy, anti-fraud policy and environmental policy.
